Overall, vax have been proven to be effective. Ung issue with covid vax is a bit more nuanced - especially if you factor in ung R&D timeline and dissemination. It may have not been the best at what it did at that time (check the varied efficacy rates of each manufacturer), but it was essential to curb the outbreak. It was not meant to wipe out covid per se.
