Una sa lahat, libre. Di mo na need ng license unlike Windows, just to use it. Umiikot sya sa free ecosystem, or mas kilala bilang open source, meaning yung mga software ay volunteer-oriented, meaning the community helps and builds its software. Since open source sya, you are free to see the code, modify it as u see fit, like customization from the graphical, like design ng GUI, to low-level, such as patches mo sa kernel or drivers.
